Zoom live sessions for DeepTech LMS

Schedule Zoom live sessions from the course module. Recordings auto-attach. Attendance flows into the gradebook.

DeepTech LMS schedules and embeds Zoom live sessions inside the course module. Recordings auto-attach, attendance imports, and faculty/learners SSO into the meeting using their LMS identity.

Trademark note: Zoom is a trademark of its respective owner. This page describes DeepTech's support for Zoom; it does not claim partnership or certification unless explicitly stated on our security or compliance pages.

What's supported

Capabilities are described as they exist in DeepTech today. We'll confirm anything we don't list here on a discovery call.

In-module scheduling

Create the Zoom meeting from the course module — same scheduling UX as creating an assignment.

Auto-attached recordings

Cloud recordings post back to the module on completion, so the recording lives where learners are looking for it.

Attendance to gradebook

Zoom participant report imports as attendance + engagement data; configurable threshold for 'present'.

SSO into Zoom

Faculty and learners enter the meeting using their LMS identity (no separate Zoom login dance).

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a Zoom Education plan?

Any paid Zoom plan that allows the API and webhooks (most paid plans) works. The free tier's 40-minute limit applies as Zoom enforces it; DeepTech doesn't override it.

What happens if the recording is hosted locally, not on the cloud?

Cloud recordings auto-attach; local recordings have to be uploaded manually because Zoom doesn't expose them via the API.

Is attendance imported in real time?

It imports a few minutes after the session ends, when Zoom finalises the participant report. Manual re-import is available if a session ran past its scheduled window.

Need a different integration?

DeepTech exposes a documented REST API plus webhooks, so most institutional systems can be wired in. Send our engineering team your stack and we'll scope it.
