Browser-based labs: why they matter for engineering colleges
Most college labs run shared PCs on restricted college Wi-Fi. Traditional virtualization requires each student to download a hypervisor and a 10–20 GB VM — impractical on bandwidth-constrained campuses. Browser-based cyber labs and coding environments run entirely server-side; the student's browser renders a terminal or IDE. A student on a ₹15,000 laptop on a 10 Mbps shared connection can practise Kali Linux, Metasploit, and Burp Suite with the same quality as a student on a high-end workstation.
