Where is my data stored if my institution is in South Africa?
Default deployments use AWS Cape Town (af-south-1) for South Africa customers. Cross-border data flows are restricted to the institutional admin's choice, with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit. Compliance frameworks supported: POPIA, CHE / HEQC reporting, SAQA NQF alignment.
Can you invoice in ZAR?
Yes. Institutional invoicing in ZAR via SWIFT / wire transfer is standard. For learner-side payments where applicable, we support card processors active in South Africa. The invoicing entity is APQOR Technologies Private Limited.
Is a pilot possible for an institution in South Africa?
Yes — a 30-day no-cost pilot with a branded portal, up to 250 learner accounts, and full feature access. Most South Africa pilots run remotely with weekly working sessions; on-site sessions are available for ministry-level engagements.
Is the platform POPIA-compliant?
DeepTech provides the technical controls POPIA requires — lawful processing flags, learner consent capture, data-subject access workflows, breach-notification logging, and Information Officer audit reports. The institution remains the responsible party as defined by POPIA.
Can we tag credits to SAQA NQF levels?
Yes. Each credit-bearing module carries NQF level and credit value metadata, which rolls up to exit-award statements and HEQSF-aligned transcripts.
